Peel Regional Chair nominations begin on May 1
How to file a nomination.
In this year's municipal election on October 22, 2018, eligible Peel residents will have an opportunity to vote for the Peel Regional Chair for the first time.
Individuals interested in being a candidate for the position of Peel Regional Chair can file their nomination papers starting Tuesday, May 1. The nomination period will close on Friday, July 27, 2018, at 2 p.m.
Who can be a candidate for the Peel Regional Chair?
You are eligible to become a candidate if you:
- live in Peel, or you or your spouse/partner own land in Peel,
- are at least 18 years old,
- are a Canadian citizen.

10 Peel Centre Drive, 5th Floor, Suite A, Brampton
May 1 - July 26, 2018, 8:30 a.m. - 4: 30 p.m.
July 27, 2018, 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. (nomination day)
The Region will not accept faxed or electronic submissions.
The fee for filing a nomination is $200 and must be paid by cash, debit or credit card (Visa or Mastercard), certified cheque or money order payable to the Regional Municipality of Peel.
