Subsidy is available in a variety of child care settings. You choose the type of care you want for your child, either in a licensed day care centre or with a home child care provider through a licensed home child care agency.

Over 450 child care programs have subsidy agreements with the Region of Peel. It's a good idea to visit several child care centres and home child care agencies in your area to help you choose which program is best for your child.

Make a list of programs that meet the age(s) of your child(ren) and the hours of care you need. Some centres require you to register with them directly in order for your name to be placed on their waiting list. This is important as some centres have long waiting lists.
