- Created a co-ordinated call centre as a primary access point for Peel citizens that has handled more than 400,000 calls and significantly reduced call wait times
- Hired the first set of youth leaders to conduct tobacco use prevention work with their peers
- Implemented a single point of access for referrals to Preschool Special Needs services
- Amalgamated the Peel Non-Profit Housing Corporation (Peel Living) with the Peel Housing Corporation
- Implemented a comprehensive screening protocol for the Healthy Babies Healthy Children Program
- Initiated the Corporate Volunteer Strategy and conducted an assessment of the Public Health Volunteer Program
- Introduced the Region of Peel’s first electronic newsletter, Connect to Peel
- Partnered with Sheridan College to build a new child care and training centre
- Established the Peel Data Centre which provides quick and convenient access to statistical data about Peel
- Created and delivered three joint regional-municipal Basic Emergency Management (BEM) courses
- Launched the Peel Regional Emergency Program (PREP) website
- Created a customer-focused external Housing and Property website
- Prepared a Councillor information guide for Social Housing in the Region of Peel
- Implemented a Volunteer Recruitment and Retention Strategy in Long Term Care
- Established a 24-hour emergency sewer blockage service to residents
- Implemented a streamlined intake model for Ontario Works
- Improved TransHelp services resulting in enhanced customer satisfaction
- Launched the first Learn at Work Week
- Conducted comprehensive client satisfaction surveys on para-transit, housing, social assistance, child care and waste to assist with making service improvements
