THE REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY OF PEEL

BY-LAW NUMBER 6-90

A by-law to amend By-law Number 9-73, as amended, to establish water service and meter installation charges effective 13th January, 1990.

WHEREAS By-law Number 9-73, entitled "a By-law respecting the supply of water, the management and maintenance of the waterworks system of the Regional Municipality of Peel and the establishment of water rates and charges" has been amended from time to time, and which By-law, as amended, is hereinafter referred to as "the By- law";

AND WHEREAS By-law Number 30-88 amended the By-law and established the current water service and meter installation charges effective 27th February, 1988;

AND WHEREAS the Council of the Regional Corporation has by Resolution 89-836-11 adopted on 14th December, 1989 revised the current water service and meter installation charges to be effective on 13th January, 1990;

NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Regional Corporation enacts as follows:

1. That subsection 1(2) of Schedule "A" to the By-law is repealed and the following substituted therefor:

"2. Water Services charges, inclusive of the capital cost of the meter, shall be paid by the applicant as follows:

a) Water services of 25 mm diameter complete with 20 mm meter and installation be charged at a rate of $1,885.00;

b) Water services of 20 mm diameter complete with an 18 x 20 mm meter and installation be charged at a rate of $1,710.00;

c) Water services larger than 25 mm shall be charged on an actual cost basis, the minimum charge being $2,000.00;

d) Meter installation charges for the following meter sizes be:

e) A cancellation charge shall be made of $20.00 for each flat rate connection and $55.00 for each estimated connection, if the applicant cancels the water service application for any reason."

2. That this by-law shall come into effect on 13th January, 1990.
