THE REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY OF PEEL

BY-LAW NUMBER 44-91

A by-law to prescribe fees under Part VII of The Environmental Protection Act and to repeal By-law Number 85-88.

WHEREAS the Council of the Regional Corporation has entered into an agreement with Her Majesty the Queen in Right of Ontario, as represented by the Minister of the Environment under Part VII of the Environmental Protection Act, R.S.O. 1980, Chapter 141, as amended (hereinafter called "the Act"), which agreement was dated April 15, 1974;

AND WHEREAS under subsection 70 (4) of the Act, a municipality, including a regional municipality, is authorized to prescribe fees or method of calculation of fees under section 71 of the Act and for applications of certificates of approval issued by a Director under Part VII of the Act;

AND WHEREAS the Council of the Regional Corporation has by Resolution 91-144-17 adopted on the 11th April, 1991, authorized the enactment of a by-law to prescribe fees under Part VII of the Environmental Protection Act and to repeal By-law Number 85-88;

NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Regional Corporation enacts as follows:

1. The fee for an application for a certificate of approval for the construction, installation, establishment, enlargement, extension, or alteration of a Class "A" sewage system is $350.00

2. The fee for an application for a certificate of approval for the construction, installation, establishment, enlargement, extension or alteration of a Class 4, 5, 6 or 7 sewage system, other than a Class A sewage system, is $200.00.

3. The fee for an application for a certificate of approval to repair a Class "A" sewage system or a Class 4, 5, 6 or 7 sewage system which malfunctions within two years of the system being placed into operation is $75.00.

4. This by-law applies to all applications submitted to the Director on or after the 9th May, 1991.

5. That By-law Number 85-88 of the Regional Corporation shall be repealed on 9th May, 1991.
