THE REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY OF PEEL
BY-LAW NUMBER 5-1999
A by-law to amend By-law Number 9-73 titled "A by-law respecting the supply of water, the management and maintenance of the water works systems of the Regional Municipality and the establishment of water rates and charges ".
WHEREAS the Council of the Regional Corporation on the 31st December 1973 passed By-law Number 9-73 respecting the supply of water, the management and maintenance of the water works systems of the Regional Municipality and the establishment of water rates and charges;
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Regional Corporation has by resolution adopted on the 11th February 1999, authorized the enactment of a by-law to amend By-law 9-73;
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Regional Corporation enacts as follows:
1. Section 4 of Schedule "A" to By-law 9-73 is repealed and the following substituted:
"Section 4 - Utility Service Charges
The charges set out below are effective on January 1, 1999:
1. New Account Charge $13.25
2. Turn-off or Turn-on for Collection:
a. Standard Residential Service Size:
During extended Utility Finance business hours $16.40
(8:30 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. Monday to Friday)
After extended Utility Finance business hours $52.50
b. Commercial Service Size:
During extended Utility Finance business hours $33.30
(8:30 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. Monday to Friday)
After extended Utility Finance business hours $87.30
3. Customer-Requested Turn-off or Turn-on of Water Service:
There is no charge if the request is necessitated by a water leak in service pipe between the watermain and the outside wall of the building.
