THE REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY OF PEEL
 
BY-LAW NUMBER 49-2001
 
A by-law to appoint By-law Enforcement Officers to enforce By-laws of the Corporation of the Regional Municipality of Peel.

 

WHEREAS paragraph 45 of section 207 of the Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1990, Chap. M. 45, as amended, authorizes the appointment of such officers and employees as may be necessary for the purposes of the Regional Corporation;

AND WHEREAS section 15 of the Police Services Act, R.S.O. 1990, Chap. P. 15, as amended authorizes the appointment of persons to enforce the by-laws of the Regional Municipality, who shall be peace officers for the purposes of enforcing the by-laws of the Regional Municipality;

AND WHEREAS the Council of the Regional Corporation has authorized by resolution on the 25th day of October, 2001 that a by-law to appoint By-law Enforcement Officers be enacted;

NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Regional Corporation enacts as follows:

1. Schedule A attached hereto forms part of this by-law;

2. This by-law comes into force and takes effect on the 25th day of October, 2001.
