A by-law to Adopt Official Plan Amendment Number 3. |
WHEREAS in accordance with the provisions of Section 17 of the Planning Act,
R.S.O. 1990, c.P.13, as amended, Council may adopt an Official Plan or amendments
thereto;
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Regional Corporation has by resolution passed on the 6th day of December, 2001 authorized the adoption of Amendment Number 3 to the Regional Official Plan;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Regional Municipality of Peel enacts as follows:
That items 1 through 3 inclusive and the schedules and figures of Schedule "A", forming part of this by-law, constitute and are hereby adopted as Amendment Number 3 to the Official Plan of the Regional Municipality of Peel.

SCHEDULE A
AMENDMENT NUMBER 3 TO THE OFFICIAL PLAN OF THE REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY OF PEEL
1.0 Statutory Provisions
This Amendment No.3, to the Official Plan for the Regional Municipality of Peel Planning Area, which will be adopted by the Council of the Corporation of the Regional Municipality of Peel, is hereby approved under sections 17 and 21 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.P.13, as Amendment No. 3 to the Official Plan for the Regional Municipality of Peel Planning Area.
2.0 Region of Peel Approval
This Amendment No.3, to the Official Plan for the Regional Municipality of Peel Planning Area, will be adopted by By-law, as attached hereto.
3.0 Purpose
4.0 LocationThe purpose of this Amendment is to:
- Amend Schedule F of the Regional Official Plan to update the name of the road, and specify regional road right-of-way requirements, for the section of Highway 7 between Highway 410 Northbound Off-Ramp and the municipal boundary between the Region of Peel and the Region of Halton. Associated modifications to Figure 5, although not a part of this amendment, will be completed concurrently.
- Amend the text of Policies 5.6.3 and 5.6.3.2.2a of the Regional Official Plan, to reflect the transfer of responsibility, and the new name of the road.
The lands subject to this amendment are located between Highway 410 Northbound Off Ramp and the municipal boundary between the Region of Peel and the Region of Halton, in the City of Brampton, Regional Municipality of Peel.
5.0 Details of the Amendment and Policies Related Thereto
The Document known as the Official Plan of the Regional Municipality of Peel Planning Area is amended as follows:
1) Schedule F to show a 45 meter (147.6 ft.) regional road right-of-way requirement for this section of Highway 7 and re-labelling it accordingly.
2) Section 5.6.3, by deleting the number "7".3) Policy 5.6.3.2.2, by deleting 5.6.3.2.2a, in its entirety by renumbering the remaining subsections.
6.0 Implementation
Upon adoption of this Amendment, and the enabling By-law, by the Council of the Regional Municipality of Peel, the appropriate sections, policies, schedules and figures of the Regional Official Plan will be revised in accordance with the intent of this Amendment.
The Amendment supplements the intent and policies of the Regional Official Plan.
7.0 Implementation
The provisions of the Regional Official Plan, as amended from time to time regarding the interpretation of that Plan, will apply to this Amendment.
