WHEREAS the Council of the Regional Municipality of Peel, hereinafter referred to as the "Regional Corporation", enacted By-law 71-97 on December 18, 1997, authorizing the construction of a watermain from Highway 50 to the end of Cadetta Road, in the City of Brampton, a total distance of 900 metres (2,950 feet) more or less, hereinafter referred to as the "works";

AND WHEREAS By-law 71-97 estimated the total cost of the works at $297,000 and assessed an annual water works rate of $381 per metre of assessable frontage based on the estimated cost;

AND WHEREAS the total cost of the works is $177,351.52;

NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Regional Corporation enacts as follows:

1. That Section 5 of By-law 71-97 be amended to read as follows:

"5. That the affected properties, as outlined in Schedule A of By-law 71-97, shall be assessed a water works rate of $227.55 per metre of assessable frontage up to a maximum of 61 metres of assessable frontage per property payable over fifteen (15) years."
