| BY-LAW NUMBER 89-2003 |
| A by-law to amend By-law 4-74, as amended, being a by-law to define and determine the duties and responsibilities of the Chief Administrative Officer. |
WHEREAS the Council of the Regional Corporation, on the 24th day of January,
1974, passed By-law Number 4-74 to define and determine the duties and responsibilities
of the Chief Administrative Officer, which by-law was subsequently amended;
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Regional Corporation has by Resolution adopted on December 18, 2003, authorized an amendment to said By-law Number 4-74;
NOW THEREFORE, the Regional Corporation enacts the following:
That By-law Number 4-74, as amended, is hereby further amended by:
| 1. | repealing Section 3(r) therein and inserting the following therefor: "3(r) consent on behalf of the Regional Corporation and upon such terms and conditions as the Chief Administrative Officer deems appropriate, to the use by any other person, corporation, partnership, association or any other body whatsoever of the Regional Corporation's property protected by copyright, trademark or patent, where the Chief Administrative Officer determines that the granting of such consent will be in the interests of the Region"; |
| 2. | adding the following new Section 3(r.1): "take measures on behalf of the Regional Corporation to obtain or maintain copyright, trademark, patent or other legal protection of the Regional Corporation's property rights or interests". |
