WHEREAS Section 11 of the Municipal Act, 2001, provides that an upper-tier municipality may pass by-laws respecting matters within its spheres of jurisdiction;

AND WHEREAS Highways, including parking and regulating traffic on highways are within the sphere of jurisdiction of the Regional Municipality of Peel;

AND WHEREAS the Council of the Regional Municipality of Peel on the 13th day September, 2001 passed By-law 41-2001 to consolidate the by-laws that regulate traffic on roads under the jurisdiction of the Regional Municipality of Peel and which by-law is hereinafter referred to as "the traffic by-law";

AND WHEREAS the Council of the Regional Municipality of Peel has by resolution passed on the 9th day of December, 2004, authorized the enactment of a by-law to amend the traffic by-law with respect to extending the existing 50 km/h posted speed limit on Regional Road 7 (Airport Road) between a point located 260 metres south of Hilltop Drive and a point located 305 metres north of Walker Road West to Huntsmill Drive;

NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Regional Corporation enacts as follows:
