THE REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY OF PEEL
BY-LAW NUMBER 30-2004
 
A by-law to amend By-law Number 73-75, as amended, being a By-law to Appoint an Area Weed Inspector for the Regional Municipality of Peel.


WHEREAS the Council of every upper-tier municipality is required, pursuant to the Weed Control Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.W. 5, s. 6, as amended (the "Act"), to appoint by by-law one or more persons as Area Weed Inspectors to enforce the Act

AND WHEREAS the Council of the Regional Corporation on the 8th day of May, 1975, passed By-law 73-75 to appoint an Area Weed Inspector for the Regional Municipality of Peel;

AND WHEREAS the Council of the Regional Corporation has by a resolution adopted on the 4th day of March, 2004 appointed Len Gardiner, Supervisor Roads, Systems Operations and Theodorous Broeders, Technician Roads, Systems Operations as Area Weed Inspectors for the Regional Municipality of Peel.

NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Regional Corporation enacts as follows:

1. That By-law 73-75, as amended, is hereby further amended by deleting Item 1 and substituting the following therefor:

"Len Gardiner, Supervisor Roads, Systems Operations and Theodorous Broeders, Technician Roads, Systems Operations are hereby appointed Area Weed Inspectors for the Regional Municipality of Peel for the same remuneration and other compensation payable for the performance of their duties as employees of the Regional Corporation."

2. That By-law 73-75, as amended, is hereby further amended by deleting item 3 and substituting the following therefor:

"The Commissioner of Public Works shall nominate Area Weed Inspectors and present amending by-laws to this by-law for their appointment, to be enacted by the Council of the Regional Corporation."
