WHEREAS the Council of the Regional Municipality ("Regional Corporation") on June 24, 2004, passed By-law 22-2004 establishing a by-law to provide for the deferral of part of a property tax increase for low-income seniors and low-income persons with disabilities;

AND WHEREAS the Council of the Regional Corporation has by resolution passed on June 24, 2004 resolved to eliminate the $100 deductible from the program;

NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Regional Corporation enacts as follows:

1. That the definition for "eligible deferral amount" in section 2 of By-law 22-2004 is deleted and the following substituted therefore:

"eligible deferral amount" means the tax increase for the taxation year in which the application is made.
