THE REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY OF PEEL
 
BY-LAW NUMBER 92-2005
 
A by-law to defer the waterworks rate imposed for the construction of watermains in Cheltenham and Terra Cotta for the property at 301 King Street, Terra Cotta, in the Town of Caledon, and to amend By-law 29-95.

WHEREAS the Council of the Regional Corporation, on the 13th of April, 1995, passed By-law Number 29-95 to authorize the construction of watermains in Cheltenham and Terra Cotta, in the Town of Caledon;

AND WHEREAS pursuant to By-law 29-95, Council authorized that the abutting owners' share of the capital costs be recovered by the imposition of a waterworks rate;

AND WHEREAS, pursuant to By-law 29-95, Council further authorized that certain properties be assessed a waterworks rate of $34 per metre of assessable frontage up to a maximum of 61 metres of assessable frontage per property payable over 15 years commencing on a date to be determined by the Treasurer and Commissioner of Finance;

AND WHEREAS, pursuant to Regional Policy F50-03 - Local Improvement - the Region may permit charges to be deferred until such time as connections are made to the watermain;

NOW THEREFORE the Regional Corporation enacts the following:

That By-law 29-95 be amended by:

1. adding the following new Section 6: "that the waterworks rate imposed for the construction of watermains in Cheltenham and Terra Cotta be deferred for the property at 301 King Street, Terra Cotta, in the Town of Caledon, Project 94-1130, until such time as a connection to the watermain is made".
