WHEREAS the Council of the Regional Corporation on the 16th June, 2005 passed By-law 57-2005 to consolidate the by-laws that regulate traffic on roads under the jurisdiction of the Regional Municipality of Peel and which by-law is hereinafter referred to as "the by-law";

AND WHEREAS the Council of the Regional Municipality of Peel has by resolution passed on the 19th day of April, 2007, authorized the enactment of a by-law to amend the by-law with respect to implementing heavy truck right and left turning movement restrictions at the intersections of Regional Road 9 (King Street) at Nancy Street, Regional Road 9 (King Street) at Jane Street and Regional Road 50 (Highway 50) at Elizabeth Street;

NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Regional Corporation enacts as follows:

1. That Section 10 of Schedule I of By-law 57-2005 is amended to add the following:

Except as provided in Subsection (2) of this Section, when official sign to that effect is displayed, no person shall turn a heavy truck in any intersection or portion of a highway set in Schedule I to this by-law, Part 24, Column 1 and Column 2, proceeding in the direction set out in Column 3 of the said Part, in the direction set out in Column 4 of the said Part, during the times or days set out in Column 5 of the said Part.

That the traffic by-law be amended with respect to Schedule I thereof, to add Part 24, as shown hereto.
