WHEREAS the Council of the Regional Corporation on the 24th November, 1983 passed By-law 179-83 to consolidate the by-laws establishing the Regional Road System in the Regional Municipality of Peel;

AND WHEREAS under the provisions of sections 11 (3) and 27 (1) of the Municipal Act, S.O. 2001, c.25, as amended, the Council of the Regional Corporation may pass by-laws respecting highways under the jurisdiction of the Region;

AND WHEREAS said By-law 179-83 has been amended from time to time by adding roads to and removing roads from the Regional Road System By-law;

AND WHEREAS the Council of the Regional Corporation has by resolution passed on the13th day of September, 2007, authorized the enactment of a by-law to update and consolidate the Regional Road System By-law and include the common names assigned to Regional Roads;

NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Regional Corporation enacts as follows:

1. That the roads as designated, named and described in Schedule “A” attached hereto shall constitute the Regional Road System of the Regional Municipality of Peel.

2. That Schedule “A” to this by-law shall form part of this by-law.

3. That By-law Numbers 179-83, 190-83, 110-85, 114-85, 62-88, 25-89, 37-90, 26-97, 28-1999, 18-2000 and 48-2000 of the Regional Municipality of Peel be and the same are hereby repealed.
