THE REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY OF PEEL
 
BY-LAW NUMBER 51-2009
 
A by-law to establish a reserve fund for the maintenance of the dedicated Ontario Municipal Transportation Demand Management Grant associated with the development of the Interactive Web-based Active Transportation Map.


WHEREAS the Regional Municipality of Peel is advised by the Province of Ontario that the Region’s Interactive Web-based Active Transportation Map Project has been selected for the Ontario Municipal Transportation Demand Management (TDM) Grant Program and is awarded $30,000;

AND WHEREAS the Regional Municipality of Peel is required to execute the Letter of Agreement between Her Majesty the Queen in right of the Province of Ontario, as represented by the Minister of Transportation for the Province of Ontario;

And WHEREAS Council by resolution passed on June 4, 2009, approved the establishment of a reserve fund for the retention of funds generated and payment of expenses on behalf of the Ministry of Transportation;

And WHEREAS Council deems it desirable to establish a reserve fund for the purpose of the retention of the funds from the Ontario Municipal TDM Grant and to adhere to the reporting and accountability measures set out in the Letter of Agreement and Ontario TDM Municipal Grant Program 2008-2009 Guidelines and Requirements;

NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Regional Municipality of Peel enacts as follows:

  1. That a dedicated TDM reserve fund account R0011 be established into which the Ontario TDM funds will be deposited and administered by the Region and used for eligible expenditures as set out in the Letter of Agreement and the Ontario TDM Municipal Grant Program 2008-2009 Guidelines and Requirements.
