BY-LAW NUMBER 41-2014 |
A by-law to amend By-law 63-2007, a by-law to amend and interpret the by-laws and resolutions of the Regional Municipality of Peel respecting changes to organizational structure of the Regional Corporation. |
WHEREAS By-law 63-2007 was enacted on May 31, 2007 to guide the interpretation of by-laws and resolutions respecting changes to the organizational structure of the Regional Corporation effective as of June 1, 2007;
AND WHEREAS, By-law 38-2009 was enacted on April 2, 2009 to amend By-law 63-2007 to reflect the corporate departmental re-alignment effective December 11, 2008;
AND WHEREAS, the Council of the Regional Corporation authorized further amendments on May 22, 2014 to By-law 63-2007 to reflect the corporate re-alignment of internal services effective May 8, 2014 and other organizational changes and changes to staff position titles;
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Regional Municipality of Peel enacts as follows:
1. That By-law 63-2007 is amended as follows:
1.1 The title of the by-law is repealed and the following is substituted therefor:
"A by-law to amend and interpret the by-laws and resolutions of The Regional Municipality of Peel respecting changes to the organizational structure of the Regional Corporation".
1.2 The following three recitals are added immediately following the third recital in the by-law:
"AND WHEREAS, the Council has by Resolution 2009-582 passed on May 14, 2009 authorized that the position of Director of Corporate Finance be renamed the Director of Corporate Finance and Regional Treasurer effective May 19, 2009;
AND WHEREAS, there have been some additional changes to staff position titles and department names within the Regional Corporation in recent years;
AND WHEREAS, the Chief Administrative Officer, following upon giving notice to Council on December 11, 2013, has proceeded with a corporate re-alignment of internal services effective May 8, 2014;"
1.3 The last two recitals of the by-law are amended by adding the words "and resolutions" immediately following the word "by-laws".
1.4 Table 1 in section 1 of the by-law is repealed and the following Table 1 is substituted therefor:

1.6. Section 3 of the by-law is repealed and the following substituted therefor:
"3. This by-law as amended is effective as from May 8, 2014".
2. That this By-law is effective as from May 8, 2014.
