WHEREAS By-law 87-85 was enacted on September 12, 1985 to implement the payment of retirement allowances to any Member of the Council of the Regional Municipality of Peel who ceases to be a Member;

AND WHEREAS, the Council of the Regional Corporation on the 11th of May, 1989 authorized the enactment of By-law 29-89 to amend By-law 87-85;

AND WHEREAS, the Council of the Regional Corporation on the 11th of February, 1999 authorized the enactment of By-law 13-1999 to further amend By-law 87-85;

AND WHEREAS, the Council of the Regional Corporation has by resolution passed on the 25^th of September, 2014 authorized the enactment of a by-law to further amend By-law 87-85;

NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Regional Corporation enacts as follows:

1. That By-law 87-85 is amended as follows:

That Subsection 2.(1) of By-law Number 87-85 is hereby repealed and the following substituted therefore:

"2.(1) That the retirement allowance shall be calculated by the Treasurer of the Region and payment of it shall be made at the same time as any other final payments by the Region to such a Member, or paid as directed by the Member, and approved by the Treasurer."
