The Regional General Committee met on September 7, 2000 at 9:42 a.m. in the Council Chambers, Regional Administrative Headquarters, 10 Peel Centre Dr., Brampton.

RECOMMENDATION GC-229-2000:
That the report of the Acting Commissioner of Planning dated August 25, 2000, titled " Proposed Amendment Number 19 to the Region of York Official Plan, Urban Expansion Area" be withdrawn;
And further, that the resolution attached to the memo of the Acting Commissioner of Planning dated September 7, 2000, titled "York Region Official Plan Amendment Number 19" be substituted therefore;
And further, that the agenda for the September 7, 2000, General Committee meeting be approved, as amended.

of Natural Resources (MNR) regarding coyote studies as they relate to coyotes
inhabiting urban communities, and requested the MNR to advise the Region of
Peel of their undertakings to deal with this issue.

RECOMMENDATION GC-232-2000:
That Regional Council not endorse the Canadian Waste Services (CWS) Adams Mine Proposal until, among other things, that Regional Council is satisfied that the Adams Mine site will be engineered so that it is environmentally safe and will comply with all conditions required by the Certificate of Approval (C of A) issued under the Environmental Protection Act, R.S.O. 1990.

That the items listed on the September 7, 2000 General Committee Agenda being: Items related to Public Works; Management; Planning; and Human Services, be referred to the September 14, 2000 Regional Council meeting without recommendation.
