Making Healthy Food Accessible

It's essential for kids to learn about and practice healthy eating in the classroom and at home. At school, students can put this into practice through participating in meal programs or through buying healthy food and beverages at school.

Access Is Crucial

Each and every student should have access to healthy foods. But, too many children arrive at school with insufficient food for the day. While one child may occasionally forget his or her lunch at home, another might not even have access to food because the family is struggling financially.

Schools and local agencies can support health and learning through:

Meal Programs
Healthy Snacks at School
Providing Equal Opportunities for Kids to Eat Well
