Safe Food Practices at School

Food safety is important when preparing and enjoying healthy food. Schools need to follow proper food preparation, hand washing and allergy protocols too.
You can lessen your risk of food borne illness and minimize bacteria by following these four simple steps:

  • Clean. Wash your hands and surfaces often.
  • Separate. Don't cross-contaminate foods.
  • Chill. Refrigerate food promptly.
  • Cook. Cook to proper temperatures.

Fightbac's Learning Centre provides information and resources that focus on these four steps.
