Help Parents Take Action - Healthy Choices at Home

Healthy Eating - Begin with Breakfast

Why is Breakfast So Important?

Breakfast fuels kids for a busy day. Children who eat breakfast are more attentive and focus better on schoolwork. Children who miss breakfast are more likely to be tired, lack energy, and have trouble getting all the nutrients they need to grow up healthy.

Missing breakfast can also increase cravings for high calorie foods during the rest of the day and lead to overeating in the evening.

Breakfast is just as important for parents. If you eat breakfast, your kids are likely to as well.
