The questions address topics such as healthy eating, physical activity, self-esteem/body image and general healthy lifestyle issues. Used for health fairs and workshops; facilitated by Peel Public Health staff.

Kids and Body Image: Discuss body image pressures children experience (e.g. the media, puberty, weight based teasing and dieting pressures). Suggestions to help children build healthy self esteem and body image as well as healthy habits for eating well and being active.
  • Parents
A time period of 90 minutes is requested.
Body Image Issues: Make a Difference in Your Classroom and Your School: Discuss body image pressures that affect students (e.g. the media, puberty, weight-based teasing and dieting pressures). Practical suggestions for curriculum resources and lesson plans.
  • Educators of students in Grades 4-8
A time period of 2 hours is requested.
