Arrow BulletSelf Esteem: The Relaxation Response

Signs of the Relaxation Response

For some, relaxing means vegging out in front of the TV. But there's a lot more to it...

Achieving a deep relaxed response is a learned skill. By setting aside 15 to 20 minutes in your day to deeply relax, you can regularly renew physical and emotional energy and bring a fresh perspective.

Signs of the Relaxation Response

  • Relaxation audio tapes are a useful resource for learning how to relax deeply. They usually combine instruction on deep breathing, progressive muscle relaxation and visualization, with soothing music and / or nature sounds.
  • Many relaxation audiotapes available.
