Using Clearer Words

  • Unexpressed emotions do not go away - they show up in your body language, such as when you say "Nothing's wrong!" but roll your eyes, avoid eye contact altogether, or slam a door. This confuses the people around you and keeps you feeling down.
  • Using clearer words helps you to know what is important to you, what works well, what you need to change, what you can learn to accept... it also helps you to communicate more clearly to others what you really need.
