Peel Health will continue to monitor and investigate any suspected cases should they arise. The World Health Organization has stated that SARS has been contained worldwide.

Peel Case Summary

At this time there are no active cases in Peel.
All cases and concerns have been fully investigated. Conducting your regular daily activities in the community DOES NOT put you at increased risk of getting SARS.
The Ministry of Health and Long Term Care has issued new directives to all health care institutions and health care providers. These directives emphasize the need for hand washing and screening of all people with respiratory symptoms requiring health care. This "new normal" will assist health care professionals in preventing the spread of infections.
Over the next few months these changes will be implemented in health care institutions throughout the Region of Peel.
