Mescaline is a hallucinogenic drug that is found in the roots of the peyote cactus.

It can also be made synthetically. Mescaline is taken in powder, tablet, capsule or liquid form.

Effects of short-term usage

  • Disorientation
  • Problems concentrating
  • Altered mood/feelings
  • Increased blood pressure and heart rate
  • Nausea and vomiting
  • Shivering
  • Sweating
  • Fever
  • Hallucinations.

Effects over the long-term

  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Decreased motivation
  • Flashbacks.
