Staying Healthy

Take time to care for yourself

New moms need care and comfort too

When baby comes home:

  • Try to pay attention to your own needs (even though all of your energy will be focused on your baby).
  • Accept that caring for him will take up most of your time. You might not always be able to eat, take a shower or - especially - sleep when you want to.
  • Know that you can - and should - take a break to recharge and renew.
  • Gradually ease into a routine of healthy eating and exercise.
