Healthy Babies Healthy Children
The Healthy Babies Healthy Children (HBHC) program is offered in partnership with Peel agencies and services through "Success By 6 Peel". Success By 6 is a coalition that was created to promote optimal development of all children by age six.
The HBHC program is provided at no cost, is voluntary and all information is treated confidentially. This Peel Public Health's website will give you information about how Healthy Babies, Healthy Children can help you as a parent.
Public Health Nurse – Telephone Support
Whether you’re thinking of having a baby, are pregnant or are caring for a child, the Region of Peel offers information to help you make healthy choices for you and your children.
We offer telephone counselling and information about:
- Healthy pregnancy
- Postpartum Mood Disorders and supports
- Growth and development for children 0-6 years
- Feeding your child
- Keeping your home safe
- Toilet Learning
- Child behaviour
- And many more
Interpreters are available in many languages, including American Sign Language.

Peel Public Health offers a variety of free prenatal classes to the residents of Peel. These classes are facilitated by a Public Health Nurse. All locations offer free parking.

Region of Peel Public Health - Breastfeeding Clinics
You and your new baby (birth to six weeks old) can see a Public Health Nurse for help with breastfeeding.

NEW Drop-in Breastfeeding Clinics - Now available 5 days a week, for hours visit breastfeedinginpeel.ca
Sign up for this free support program to talk with a volunteer mother who has breastfed her own children. Volunteers are there to help you over the phone until your baby is six months old.
