Beds and cribs away from windows?
A crib that meets current safety standards and has no loose, sharp or missing pieces?
A toy chest with air holes and a lid that can be opened from the inside?

Tips:
Anchor heavy furniture to the wall
Remove heavy blankets, pillows, stuffed animals or bumper pads from cribs to allow for better air circulation
Lower crib mattresses as needed and keep baby mobiles out of reach
Children under 6 should not sleep in bunk beds
Place nightlights away from beddings and curtains
Store diaper changing products safely out of reach
