The Facts about Childhood Obesity

How Does it Happen?

There are many risk factors that can contribute to children becoming overweight or obese. Some of these factors can be changed, but others, like family genetics or high food costs, can’t.

The focus should be on those factors that can be changed so that all children are healthy and feel good about themselves. Awareness is the first step towards knowing where change is needed.
