Summer Programs

Brampton Caledon Community Living
Options day program supports people in the community participate in cultural, recreational, educational, and leisure activities in the community.

Learning Disabilities Assoc. North Peel-Mississauga 905-791-4100 or 905-272-4100
A full day program designed to incorporate learning and fun for children between the ages of 6 and 12. They will be encouraged to develop and/or improve study skills, learn keyboarding/computer skills and take part in exciting social skills activities.

Community Living Mississauga- Day Programs
Provides children, teens and adults with a wide variety of activities and outings during the summer. These programs include: Summer Teen Activity Program, Children's Summer Support Program and the Summer Work Experience Program.

Camps

Shadow Lake Centre
Provides a residential camping program for people who have an developmental disability; programs are held during the months of June, July, and August.

Camp Prospect
Provides a summer session as well as other sessions throughout the year for children, teens, and adults with special needs

Blooming Acres 705-487-3076
Offers a residential program for people who have neurological disorders; it also has respite programs, retreats and a summer program for teenagers and adults with autism.

Christian Horizons
Seeks to meet spiritual needs in a context of loving care, fun activities, and excellent service provided by dedicated Christians.

Camp Winston
Camp Winston operates a residential recreational summer program for campers with complex neurological disorders; they also offer Behaviour Management and Skills Workshops and weekend retreats.

Movie Discounts for Support Workers

The Access 2 Entertainment card gives support people for those with disabilities a discounted rate at movie theatres.
