Beating the odds… together.
Lancaster Public School

Looks sure can be deceiving, particularly at Lancaster Public School in Malton. The school sits on the top of the Peel District School Board’s Social Risk Index. But take one step inside and you’ll be stunned by what you see.

In this story, you’ll learn about the power of community – teachers, parents, administrators, students and partners like Peel Health who work together to create a network of support for the school community.

And that hard work is paying off. Lancaster was honoured as one of the Province’s first Schools on the Move, a program that celebrates schools that, among other things, are “beating the odds” to improve student learning.
