• Provides a source through which both City Council and the Committee's agency members can receive a community-based perspective on safe driving issues

• Sub-committee of City Council which makes recommendations on matters designed to protect students from the dangers of vehicular traffic - placement of crossing guards, initiated the Kiss and Ride program

• OTA Knights Team is a group of nine professional transport drivers with first class driving records who make presentations on how car and truck drivers can safely share the road. The team's mission is to help make our roadways safer by encouraging all road users to be partners in safety. The program is overseen by the Ontario Trucking Association
• The OTA Road Knights are available to meet with groups to provide insight on sharing the road with a transport truck and how all road users can be partners in safety
• A visit by a OTA Road Knight includes an oral presentation, a video on road sharing and/or careers in the trucking industry, and a complimentary copy of Sharing the Road with a Truck - our highly acclaimed booklet of safe driving tips

• Parenting Journal for parents of children from one to three years of age, available in English but being translated into five other languages. Key message is that parents have a very important role to play in a child's healthy development. Safety messages are included
