• The role of the organization is to work with governments to make sure the right kind of policies are developed; working with professionals and educators to equip them with the best in research and programs; and reaching out to families to help us all with the crucial task of nurturing, protecting, educating and empowering children
• The organization focuses on the following areas: healthy pregnancy and childbirth, healthy child development, monitoring children's health, healthy and safe environments and speaking out for Canada's children

• The Police Service provides an Operation Lifesaver presentation on railway safety to students in kindergarten to grade 8, and any other youth groups
• The presentations are between 30 and 60 minutes in length and include a lecture, video and handouts

• Provides information and activities on prenatal and newborn care, nutrition, immunization, infectious diseases, injury prevention and emergency medicine and community paediatrics

• Provides transportation to medical appointments in Peel/Toronto to qualifying clients
  
• Provides first aid courses, babysitting courses, individual aid program, disaster response program, links to health programs and an equipment loan program

• Works in partnership with community agencies, corporate Canada, police services, policy makers, the judicial system and schools to promote education and awareness to reduce and ultimately eliminate death and injury caused by impaired and or unsafe driving
