Communications Skills

Building Healthy Relationships

Communication includes exchanging your thoughts, ideas and feelings with others.

When you’re communicating it’s important that your partner understands exactly what it is you’re trying to say.

Factors That Affect Communication

To communicate effectively you need to choose your words carefully and match your words with your body language.

Personal Factors

Your mood, energy level and body language are all personal factors that can affect how well you communicate.

Environmental Factors

How well you communicate can also depend on what’s happening around you. Noise, temperature, and other distractions can all play a part in how well you get your message across.
