Child-to-Child (CTC)

How does Child-to-Child work?

Facilitators guide participants (children and youth aged 9 - 14 years) through a decision-making process that involves:

  • Group work
  • Brainstorming ideas
  • Selecting and prioritizing
  • Finding out more
  • Planning and taking action
  • Thinking it over and evaluating

Peel Public Health will provide:

  • A consultation with your school/agency.
  • Facilitator training.
  • Facilitator workbooks.
  • CTC participant folders with a pencil and paper pad.
  • CTC certificates.
  • Ongoing support from Peel Public Health Nurses.

You'll provide:

  • A commitment to complete the program.
  • Staff member(s) to facilitate.
  • An area for weekly meetings.
  • Committed child/youth participants.
