Smoking Prevention: Web Resources

Check out these cool websites for kids that talk about real smoking issues and what you can do about them:

The Ontario Lung Association

The Ontario Lung Association has a smoking prevention program for students called “Lungs Are for Life”. It is currently undergoing maintenance but teachers can order free teaching modules online.

Ontario Physical Health Education Association (OPHEA)

www.ophea.net

Since 1921, OPHEA has been working to support the health and learning of children and youth in Ontario. OPHEA is a not-for-profit organization led by the vision that all kids value and enjoy the lifelong benefits of healthy, active living.

With the release of Ontario's revised elementary and secondary Health and Physical Education (H&PE) Curriculum: Helping Students Develop Skills for Healthy, Active Living in February 2015, there's never been a better time for Ontario educators in grades 1-12, to take a new, more comprehensive approach to the subject.
