Larviciding

Larviciding update

Larviciding was carried out in the city of Brampton, the city of Mississauga, and the town of Caledon in 2011.

Pestalto Environmental Health Services, the licensed pesticide applicator contracted by Peel Health, completed applying the fourth and final round of larvicides (methoprene) to the roadside catch basins on August 26. The fourth round was indicated by a green dot on the catch basin grate.

The treatment of surface water sites on public lands concluded on September 30.
