Dedicated to preserving and promoting the Region's artistic heritage, the Art Gallery of Peel is also known for its quality educational programs, acclaimed publications and long-running Juried Art Show. The Gallery's exhibitions and permanent collection bring an impressive range of regional, provincial, national and international art making practices to the Peel community.

The Gallery holds the largest public collection in Peel Region including more than 2500 paintings, prints, drawings and sculptures from noted international artists such as Andy Warhol, to Canadians Tom Thomson, Michael Snow, Joyce Weiland and Doris McCarthy, the Gallery's collection features a dynamic array of historical and contemporary works.
Artists with roots in the Peel community are given special emphasis at the Gallery including notable artists such as William Ronald and Ronald Bloore who both gained national recognition for their pioneering work in abstraction, as well as David Urban and Sadko Hadzihasanovic who are rising stars on the contemporary scene. Paintings of Peel's historical and present-day landscape are another important component of the Gallery's holdings, as well as its collection of over 500 prints by early twentieth century artists Caroline and Frank Armington.
Together with its partners in the Museum and Archives, the Gallery celebrates the artistic legacy and potential of Peel.
