Prepare your students for what they will see and do at the Complex. This is especially helpful for our Simple Machines tour.
Make sure all students know and understand our rules:
Students are usually placed in groups — for Simple Machines, one class does the experiments, while the other is split in two equal groups. For Art SmArt and First Visit, students are often put into four groups. Please ensure there is enough adult supervision — at least four adults per 30 students.
It is imperative you let us know upon booking if there are any ESL children or children with special needs. Our Educators have a limited amount of time to develop a rapport with the students and prefer to know ahead of time so they may adjust their tours accordingly.
If you plan to have lunch here, please inform us upon booking, as space is limited.
We require a 1:7 adult to child ratio. Children not in the class (such as younger siblings) are not permitted. Adult volunteers are required to assist students in the class.
Note: A cancellation charge will apply for groups who cancel within three weeks of their visit.
If you are planning your trip in November – February, Gage Park has outdoor skating.
The Peel Heritage Complex is a smoke-free facility with wheelchair access. Buses unload and pick-up at 9 Wellington St. E. in Brampton. Thematic teacher newsletters and confirmations will be mailed or faxed.
If you do not receive a confirmation, please call 905-791-4055.
