Revelations by the Digital Photo Arts Group
The Digital Photo Arts Group’s “Revelations”
exhibit provides an interesting and comprehensive
photo art display together with an educational
showcase which follows the development of imagery
from wall paintings to present day computer assisted
imaging programs.
The
exhibit features work by:
- Victoria Menelaou Solomine
- Robert (Bob) Hulley
And, a showcase presentation by members of the
Digital Photo Arts Group which includes items
from the Region of Peel Museum.
Victoria Menelaou Solimine’s interest
in art lies in acrylics, printmaking and most
recently digital photography. Her art is about
communication with natural elements. In Victoria’s
own words “I try not to imitate them but
let them create their own individual reality”.
Robert
(Bob) Hulley has been an avid photographer
for some 40 years. Following his retirement, he
has been able to devote more time to photography
and most recently, turned his attention to digital
photography and image enhancement. His interest
in art goes back even further, to when he was
one of Rebecca Willis’ first students in
flora water-colour painting.
The Digital Photo Arts Group is a non-profit
association formed to facilitate the display of
member’s work at public cultural exhibition
spaces. Among its objectives is to provide information
and encouragement to those interested in the art
of digital photography and image enhancement.
