Peel Living Resident Guide

Resident Guidelines

General House Keeping

Cleaning

  • Residents are responsible for keeping the inside of their unit clean and safe. Residents in townhouses are also responsible for keeping their front and back yards clean.
  • Cleaning of appliances, tile and bathroom fixtures and regular cleaning of the refrigerator and stove will keep them in good shape and also save energy. When cleaning smooth surfaces of appliances and bathroom fixtures do not use abrasive cleaners that scratch the surface. Please use a mild soapy solution.

Sinks

  • Do not pour grease down sinks as it coats the inside of the pipe and eventually causes a plug up. Hair and coffee grounds can also clog up your drain system.

    Helpful Tip
To dispose of grease pour into metal container like a soup can and once hardened, put into garbage.

Condensation

  • To prevent mould and mildew turn the bathroom exhaust fan on when showering and the kitchen exhaust fan when cooking.

Pests

  • If cockroaches or other pests such as mice are in your home, please fill out a Maintenance Request Form and give it to your Superintendent. Keeping the unit clean and free of stored items will help keep pests away.

Peel Living will also seek payment for their insurance deductible cost.
