Angela’s Place is a transitional residence that provides both housing and support programs for Peel families that have experienced homelessness. Angela’s Place addresses the alarming increase in homeless families in the Region, and the disturbing presence of children in our emergency shelters that has developed as a result. The facility facility provides support services and medium-term housing for 20 high-need families. Angela’s Place offers a secure base where families in difficulty can regain their stability and get help finding permanent accommodation and employment.

Number of Units
20 units: 3-bedroom = 3 units, 2-bedroom = 14 units, 1-bedroom = 3 units.

Target Tenant Group
The intent of the development is to provide housing and program assistance to help stabilize families in transition – those experiencing acute instability, living in emergency shelters, struggling with job loss, medical problems, family breakdowns, etc.

Design Features
A unique three-storey walk-up model; brick exterior; metal panels; lobby/vestibule visually monitored; multi-purpose room; laundry area; support services.

Ten, three-bedroom, two-storey apartments with internal stairs to the second floor, accessible from the second floor corridor only. The design simulates a townhouse environment.
