Information for seniors:
Who can Apply to Live in a Senior’s Building?
Singles who are aged 65 years or older, and couples
where at least one person is aged 65 or older, can
live in senior's buildings.
NOTE: Applicants who are 59 years of age or older
can request senior's buildings; however they
will not be housed in seniors buildings until they
are 65 years of age.
When an applicant turns 65, it is their responsibility
to inform Peel Access to Housing.

Social Housing Providers and Buildings.
Can Senior Citizens Apply to Live in Family Buildings?
Yes. However, the wait for subsidized housing in
family buildings is much longer than it is for seniors'
buildings. The wait for accommodation in a seniors'
building is between 3-7 years. This is the shortest
possible wait in Peel.
