    as we get older, our multiple adult responsibilities seem to take priority over our instinctive sense of fun and playfulness.

    And while we all take our work seriously, let’s not forget the importance of taking time to appreciate laughter in the workplace. Laughter is a great stress reliever, bringing with it a sense of camaraderie. It’s a universal language that helps break down cultural and hierarchical barriers.

    The great thing about laughter in the workplace is that you don’t have to be “funny.” By simply seeing the humour in our everyday activities and tasks and encouraging others

    to do the same, we can create a lighter atmosphere that encourages laughter.

    Think about your work environment for a moment. Did you have a chance to laugh today? Just as we take time to have lunch, go for a walk, or read a book, we should also remember that it’s OK to laugh, and to share laughter with our colleagues and co-workers.

    We all love to laugh. When someone says, “Did you hear the one about…?” something makes us want to listen in, anticipating a punch line that will have us in stitches.

    Laughter is contagious. Often, just hearing someone laugh makes us want to join in. Laughter comes naturally to children at play. But
