REGION OF PEEL TO HOST ITS THIRD ANNUAL
SPRING ENVIRONMENT DAY
The region of Peel will host a full day of community recycling at its annual Environment Day.
Services available will include: household hazardous waste disposal and recycling, drop-off of large recyclable items such as old tires (maximum six), scrap wood, reusable building materials: such as fixtures, doors, and windows.
Residents can purchase backyard composters and replace damaged or stolen blue boxes.
Residents who drop off food donations for Foodpath will receive two free bags of garden compost.
The region will also accept reusable goods on behalf of goodwill.
WHO: Ward Two Councillor Marylon Morrison, and the Region's very own recycling characters will be on hand. WHEN: Saturday, April, 28, 2001-04-24
