Brampton Film Circuit Presents Pollock

(Brampton) - Peel Heritage Complex, in partnership with the Toronto Film Festival, presents Pollock, staring Ed Harris and Oscar winner Marcia Gay Harden, on Thursday, June 7, as part of the Brampton Film Circuit. The show takes place at 7:30 p.m., at the Famous Players Silver City, Trinity Common Mall, Hwy. 410 and Bovaird Drive in Brampton.

Pollock is Harris' directorial debut, which marks the culmination of his decade-long obsession with modernist painter Jackson Pollock. A powerful biopic, the movie follows the artist's controversial and turbulent life including his relationship with his partner and lover Lee Krasner and traces the self-destructive flaws in his personality, which ultimately resulted in his tragic demise. The film's synopsis is available on Peel Heritage Complex's Web site at

Tickets can be purchased in advance for $5 for members of the Peel Heritage Complex and $7.50 for non-members by calling the Complex at 905-791-4055, Ext. 2150. Tickets are also available on the evening of the performance.

All proceeds from the Brampton Film Circuit go to support educational programs for Peel children and their families. The Peel Heritage Complex acknowledges the following community sponsors who helped make this project possible:

The Peel Heritage Complex is made up of the Region of Peel Museum, the Art Gallery of Peel and Region of Peel Archives. Together they collect, preserve and display a wide variety of materials related to Peel's heritage.
