905-791-7800, Ext. 4374REGISTRATION FOR THE FIFTH ANNUAL PEEL CHILDREN'S WATER FESTIVAL IS CLOSED
(Brampton) - Due to the overwhelming response by Peel teachers and students, registration for the Peel Children's Water Festival is now closed.
"We have surpassed our target of 5,000 participants," said Lesley Radman, Chair, Peel Children's Water Festival. "We would like to thank those who expressed an interest in the festival. We look forward to your participation in next year's event."
The Peel Children's Water Festival is a fun and educational event designed to give students hands-on learning about the importance of water resources in everyday life. Through more than 50 activity centres and displays, students will learn about water in the environment, water quality, distribution, conservation and wise usage.
Heading into its fifth year, the Peel Children's Water Festival has been selected as the 2001 winner of the Canadian Association of Municipal Administrators (CAMA) Education Award.
The five-day event for students and teachers takes place on June 6, 7, 8, 11 and 12, 2001 at the Vic Johnston Community Centre and Streetsville Memorial Park in Mississauga.
